Great barrier reef and green island

green island: here

OK. it's time to add descriptions.
Guess who this is ?

It's meytar trying to disguise as a sting ray jelly fish - this is a lycra body suit against stingers - worth the value just for the great picture !
So we went out on a cruise to green island and the great barrier reef - in australia the reef is not on the beaches like in normal countries - you have to take an expensive cruise out there in order to dive and shnorkel - so we took one that went first to green island, the most touristic reef iland around, and from there we continued to the cruise company's great barrier reef pontoon ( a huge floating deck with all the needed facilities in the middle of the ocean that is used as a resting point on the outer reef).

Green island was a waste of time because all the reef there was virtually destroyed by all the tourists that come there every year - but the outer reef from the pontoon was really nice and impressive and we had a great time snorkeling there - even meytar loved it.
we also did a glass bottom tour in the area and there was an underwater glass observatory on the pontoon.
in the outer reef there aren't any stingers so it was fun and safe.

This pic shows the great diver Tammy returning from one of her deep water missions.

This is green island as seen from the cruise boat that took us there.

On the cruise boat on the way to the pontoon -

on the pontoon looking down at
Tammy and Meytar that were snorkerling in the sea -
(so who took the picture ???)

Tammy putting Meytar in the safe closed cage attached to the pontoon for kids (Meytar also went out to the sea with her) -

ppl in action outside of the pontoon (Eran even saw a small shark between the corals)

On the way back on the cruise boat - we were watching Mr. bean on TV -

The cruise boat that took us and went so fast it made Eran a little sea sick.

Another Jelly fish (to avoid one - you must become one)
